Site Acquisition & Legal: Sirius managed the complex "Site Acquisition" phase, handling lease agreements, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies, and Civil Aviation Approvals.
Transmission Systems: The rollout included the installation, testing, and commissioning of optical fibre cable systems (underground and OPGW).
Quality Assurance: Leveraging international benchmarks, Sirius implemented network quality assurance programmes to help operators improve voice and data communication solutions for end-users.
Turnkey Capability: The project scope covered everything from site identification and legal acquisition to construction and ongoing maintenance.
Full Lifecycle Support: Services included the design and fabrication of steel transmission towers, equipment buildings, and access roads.
Technology Integration: Beyond physical towers, the work supported the implementation of Value Added Service Networks, including SMS platform centres and Voice over IP systems.
Field Survey Capability — Rooftop Inspections
Sirius Telecom's capabilities extend to ground-level site survey and infrastructure assessment work. At altitudes of approximately 1,652 – 1,661 metres above sea level, the team conducted site surveys across multiple rooftop locations, capturing and documenting existing telecoms infrastructure. Observed equipment included multi-sector cellular towers fitted with panel antenna arrays and associated cabling, rooftop tripod mast installations, and co-located satellite infrastructure such as DStv dishes. This work reflects Sirius Telecom's ability to assess, record, and plan around existing infrastructure — a critical capability in delivering end-to-end telecoms solutions.
